  Friends of the podcast it's a different start to the podcast as John pulls one over on us and it’s hilarious! We start off chatting about my eventful Sunday and how different grad is in Saskatchewan compared to Ontario. This got us talking about our after grads and how crazy we were! Lisa is concerned about Ryan Seacrest's break up and vacationing in Mexico. She's a bit choked that she keeps seeing Mark instead of Ryan. Let's just stick to watching reruns of Wendy! The Canadian airlines are eliminating social distancing and Lisa has a list of pro and cons.  Would you feel comfortable traveling,  Jann Arden isn't!  All Miss Jann wants is vegan ice cream from the Dairy Queen, help a girl out? We speak about The Chicks changing their name and wonder about Lady A or whichever name they can use. Cirque du Soleil is no longer and Miranda Lambert saves a highway kitten. We may like cats but men with cats is a no go? We get going discussing movie theaters opening up, bad summer TV, the battle of the cool desserts, three bean salad, hot drinks, frozen cereal challenge, NFLD's take on poutine(Sam's #1), playing the lottery, Kelly Clarkson, what is chicory, stuffed burgers at the Boom Baby Cafe, what is a falafel, Lisa's obsession, Augie, The Biebs, royal gossip, The Fosters, what is truly Canadian and we end with vacation bacon(Lisa's #1)! It's all about Lisa for the topic because it's her birthday! I share my five top fun things I know about my bestie and Lisa shares a few things we may not know about her! She’s No Angel!

It's us again! Lisa feels a fight coming on due to unsettled weather! Sam shares her new drink of the summer, the Orange Julius Sparkler. Sam is the only one excited about it apparently. Lisa has to bring up my narly COVID toes! We don't agree on much but Mom baking for our upcoming lake excursion is one of them! Lisa had a fun night out with the HHG and we wish her Mom a speedy recovery! Our FB group got into the sandwiches they couldn't live without. The response was great and we discussed a few of the more interesting ones. Lisa smells a competition in the making for the lake! We talk about if a hotdog is a sandwich and honestly no it isn't. Lisa thinks she is a sandwich artist. New calling? We come to the aid of our girl Marci from the Social. She is getting picked on again and frankly we don't understand why. We realize our country is struggling and we hope that we get our shit together. We dig into a whole host of topics like Ben Mulroney, Jimmy Kimmel, Donald Jr., Tina Fey, cake cooking shows, competitive eating, biking, Prince William and the kids, Michael Keaton, where's Geraldo, favorite sitcom dad, Naked & Afraid, BBQ competition, balcony update, bad lunch, Guy Ferri, Bubba Wallace, Leo DiCaprio, Sweet Sixteen candy, Burger King, Jimmy Fallon and the fate of Kurt Cobain's guitar. Lisa doesn't understand the topic Sam picked except that karma is a bitch! Sam gives a few examples which help her a bit and you know she loves a chance to school her! As we discuss my ISMH Lisa and I realize we are the classic story of good being friends with evil! Not Everyone Loves You!

Why do we use the phrase 'hump day' to describe Wednesday? Lisa isn't a fan of the word and doesn't really like the phrase 'dry hump' either. She doesn't care to know what it means but hey if you know it, share it!  We start to argue about wearing SPF and Lisa's ability to be sun smart, ever! We know we can annoy people sometimes because we sing too much, discuss our hair too much but sorry not sorry! Lisa has kicked Songland to the curb and Sam surprises her with news of a new all royal TV channel. She wants it as a birthday present but that ain't happening! Poor Arlene Dickson is Lisa's newest obsession...ooops sorry new potential squad member. Lisa has issues with Carolyn saying 2020 is peanut Butter and jam and frankly what is up with that! She then harps about her buddies shortening her name to Lis. Sorry Lis...haha! We are happy about the vote to put through the LGBT no work discrimination passed and that Nickelodeon confirmed SpongeBob was part of the LGBTQ community. We discuss Lisa's new love of fuzzy peach candy, what's our go to candy, bringing back a winter food, shapeless dresses, your two favorite sandwiches, the HHG and the sleepover kids, what four things that we would grow in a garden(sparks a debate!), growing weed, Olivia Newton John, Bandaids, Walmart, the Oscars, aliens, fancy watermelon, weird Kit Kat flavours, wooden spoons, arson, free Popeyes, new Pringles and our Wal-Mart shopping excursion! Between the two of us we have seen some pretty great concerts but the ones we have yet to see could be even better!! Duran Duran we're coming for ya! Hey Soul Sista!

We are back recording in Betty and it feels...awkward, hostile, like we were getting along better apart? Nahhh!! It's back to the good ole days of bickering back and forth! Ahh..it feels so right! Lisa has already put in a full week of activities and it's only Wednesday! Sam confesses that her Mom has made another delicious dessert...she did not share it but Lisa wants it for the Boom Baby Bakery, of course! Things are starting to get back to normal with restaurants and Gyms opening up in Saskatoon. Tims opens up patio seating but do we want to sit out in the middle of a parking lot?  Kids will be going back to school in the fall and the audible sigh from parents can be heard everywhere! Lisa talks about the Rock and Sam mentions Costco taste testing. Lisa thinks she is Kelly Ripa's soul sister which prompts her to belt out Trains song 'Hey Soul Sister', its off key and she doesn't know the words but that's so Lisa! Sam gets her to stop singing when at the mention of Prince Philip's birthday! We get rolling as we talk about, young Elvis, scrambled eggs with ketchup, Jeopardy, a perfect TV day, Songland, Lego, Looney Tunes, the HHG, floaties, are condiments seasonal, new COVID food trend, vinegar, Krispy Kreme, Joe Exotic, George Michael, New Jersey, Megan Markle's and Beyonce's commencement speeches, Tan France and Bill and Ted 3. We have grand ideas about what we would do if we ran the TV networks. Lisa would make more biographies, add a serial killer channel and keep the cheesy Hallmark channel, for her sister of course! I want control of all the entertainment channels so I can abolish Wicked Tuna and Forge in Fire! Just kidding...maybe! We Are Losers!

Yes, it happened Lisa made it to her hair appointment!! She is soooo pretty but can she actually do her new hair. Lisa asks how Sam is doing and to be honest, she misses Wendy Williams so she's watching her reruns. We speak about George Floyd and what is happening in the US and the importance of  educating yourself about what's going on. In the wise words of Maya Angelou "Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better." It's been a week since we had Jann Arden on our show and we still can't believe she said yes! It did however make us realise we are losers/slackers/underachievers. We need a new goal and need you friends of the podcast to help out with suggestions! The Queen has more moxy than us at 94 and there is a 103 year old grandma that beat the COVID! The big Buffet of China is renovating because buffets are out! This gets us rolling with concerns about catering, take out, virtual buffets, Cadbury Oreo Dairy milk bar, Popeyes, indoor BBQ's, craving KD, BBQ adventures, new drink, MLBS realignment, Maple Buds, favorite game show, Lori Loughlin, Jessa Duggar, Butter Tart ice cream, women's clothing vs mens, Tracey Ellis Ross(new member of the squad), coffee cake, blue side or white side, SGN and Kelly Clarkson. Lisa and Sam each give a commencement speech/life advice to the graduating class of 2020. Let's just say our approach to the task is very different! Jann Arden Stops By!

It's a big week for Lisa and Sam because Jann said yes!! Sam is so excited and starts singing but not to be outdone Lisa has to put her stamp on it! She did make Sam wear a ball cap so we could both look odd. Please God it's me Sam can you please make sure she gets her hair cut soon. This leads to a debate on the usefulness of 2in1 shampoo and conditioner. Let there be free will! Lisa isn't having her best week and the kick to the crotch is that General Hospital is over. Mike's beauty routine is expanding to gel and Lisa suspects a girlfriend, she's okay with it. Our girl Kelly Ripa is under attack again and we rise to her defense! We get rolling with gossipy chat about Whitney Way Thore, Toucan Sam, coffee pee, Boom Baby breakfast, You Gotta Eat Here, honey bear, Nutella Iced Coffee, Rob Ferguson, Brooklyn, Mrs. Jennifer, a new Lisa song, add-ons to the 'with hands' list, pineapple plants and turkey hotdogs. The best is yet to come because Jann Arden is on our podcast! First, Lisa revisits our attempt to find Jann in 2018 where Sam nearly froze, one of us does not remember this fondly. Jann pops in and we get to ask her questions about quarantining, Midi, treehouses, hot tubs, her favorite #2's, the second season of Jann and how she likes podcasting. It might be a blustery, rainy night outside but Lisa and Sam are ready to give it our all!! Lisa gives an update on her underarm hair, Nair to the rescue! She gets a rude awakening from a fire alarm and is only concerned about not peeing her pants! Our girl Wendy Williams isn't feeling her best and is taking some much needed time off. Lisa gives Sam the gears because she can't recall who Eddie Haskel was on Leave it to Beaver. Sam DFC'd on that one! Kelly Rippa is getting talked about again and we will be having none of that! Buble is still under fire for a perceived wrong doing and Lisa needs Ellen to be nice. Her at home show is getting better which makes us realize we should have lent a hand to the TV hosts a long time ago! Tomato Is The New Watermelon

We  already feel like we have been talking forever and we have only just begun! Lisa feels like she got spanked, I know I got schooled, then add a #heybabe to round it out! Lisa was left to her own devices and surprisingly remained intact after driving solo. She has pillow angst and isn't sure how that happened and I keep waking up too early, damn birds!  I came up with a brilliant solution to the daytime soap dilemma, it's a gooder! We are however a bit concerned when we hear the HHG has willingly bought dollar store panties. No!!! Everyone is getting grey haired shamed in this episode as we talk about Kelly Ripa, Lisa, Megan McCain and myself. Lisa is too chicken to dye her own hair and is of course convinced her hair is a different shade of brown. It's not! Duck and Swerve!

What a way to end a Monday! Lisa is trying on a new opening phrase, I don't think 'hey bitches' is the way to go. I do however like her suggestion of the background being a Honda Civic. She isn't blue like Betty but the new Black Betty will do just fine! Lisa again needs to share that she goes commando at home which is still too much information. I wonder if we care what we look like naked anymore and Lisa assures me we don't. John agrees no one needs to see his melted candle-like physique! I try to explain wearing lip gloss with a mask and all Lisa wants to do is spend some money on transitional pandemic clothes. John and I both confess to not loving doing dishes while Lisa looks like a saint as she lets God dry the dishes. I start picking apart Lisa's fake culinary achievements and misguided cooking instructions from last week. The conversation gets heated with talk of frosted flakes, creamed corn, Baby X AE A-12, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, inside jokes, Tik Tok, the Supreme court, cruise ships, bananas, Michelle Obama, chocolate cake and groupies! Who Eats Bubblegum?!

We are just two women on a mission to make the most out of a pandemic situation. So we gather our resources and get to laughing! Lisa was granted furlough and got to go outside before the weekend which got me thinking did she sneak a chocolate bar again? She swears she didn't but who knows what is in the bad pocket. Lisa has one day too late news about Cinco De Mayo and Taco Bell. Then asks the burning question, 'what's salsa verde'? I bring up that Amy Shumer has a new TV cooking show with her husband and we both agree it looks like a hot mess! Mike is water gun obsessed, there might be a clean key in my future and Adele looks amazing but we aren't sure if it's okay to say that! Jann Arden is being her best self, hornets invade BC, the Tiger King movie gets Cage and Carol Baskin gets played! There are a plethora of things we talk about and here are just a few, fake tans, pandemic clothes, thrift shops, new Ben and Jerry's ice cream that leads to a whole debate on the merits of bubblegum ice cream! We move on to more serious topics like, tiramisu oreos, chicken parm, Nailed it!, COVID comfort foods, Wendy's, red puzzles, Sydney Crosby, Nike, the dude SnapChat filter, Ellen, Kate Bowler, and Mother's Day! We pontificate about what fictional TV/movie characters make us hate them and the ones we love to hate!
