Well, Lisa isn't happy because it's too warm and Sam confesses to killing her plant. Let's be honest it didn't stand a chance! With warmer weather comes BBQ season and Lisa has already got one under her belt. Sam wonders if barbecuing is more of the mans domain and Lisa thinks it is only because of historical documentation. Who knew the Flintstones were so educational! We get caught up talking about BBQ ribs and stumble on the next addition of our Boom Baby business...the Boom Baby BBQ food truck! Brilliant!! Lisa is priming herself for watermelon season and wants it Lionel Riche style! Sam hasn't really been craving anything while in quarantine and she is done cooking but she definitely will not be trying burger in a can. Yuk! The HHG has been busy baking and Lisa is concerned she might be moving in on her bakery business. We have a lot on our minds with mimosa popsicles, Michelle Obama, Lisa's hair, dress up, the CFL, cheating in pandemic times, Jimmy Fallon, Rob Lowe alert, snack of the week, nutmeg challenge, fancy nightgowns, Donald Trump's snap chat filter, potatoe surplus, and Lisa's weekly delusion! We are definitely thinking about summer and one of us might be afraid of sunless tanners. It's all just a bit ridiculous but it might just make you laugh! It is another Monday in quarantine so why not do a Facebook live! Yes, we wrangled John in to helping us again! You know Lisa's hair woes are getting serious when she starts buying root touch up on her weekly car ride! She starts talking about cutting her hair with scotch tape and scissors! Seriously! I start chanting 'cut your hair' because if you can't beat them, join them. Right!? We switch gears for a moment and talk about the Stronger Together concert where Lisa got to see her most favourite person (besides the Queen) Anne Murray! However, Lisa isn't the only one obsessed with hair so is Uma Thurman and Keith Urban. Side note mullets should not make a come back. We segway to Trump and the disinfectant comment, Wendy's nuggets, Kanye West, Krispy Kremes, whipped milk, buttons on pants, Netflix, kitty litter, Pigeon patrol, paninni's, the Royals and kicking socks to the curb! They're back, back again...yes friends of the podcast it's our regularly scheduled Friday podcast. It's a special one because its our 3rd Podiversary!! Lisa pays homage to the Queen as she celebrates her 94th birthday! As we talk all things royal I wonder why everyone is giving up their 'famous' recipes and do we care? Trend alert! Hair is the most obsessively talked about topic showing up on talk shows and social media. Is this discouraging us or encouraging us? I want Lisa to brave the new trend by shaving her head! Lisa wants nothing to do with that and changes the subject to spelling bees. How do you spell disappointment? We cover a lot from the Masked Singer, TV concerts, Prince, Melissa McCarthy, summer fun, naps & snacks, mini pizzas, Captain Crunch, food truck season, marinade vs rub, sitting workout, Korean dolls, and a pigeon update. What to do on a Monday in quarantine? Go on live on Facebook with Lisa and John! Lisa informs us that it has now been two months since her last haircut and oh the tale of woe it is and I'm just ad libbing through life right now! John shares with us where Lisa can get a haircut but it requires travel to Merica! Scrabble Go is a bone of contention for Lisa and I as the Brits are still kicking our asses! It was a tougher day on Sunday for Canada as we had a mass shooting in Nova Scotia. Are we now more focused on that instead of COVID? Well in Florida the people took to the beaches but there is to be no sitting, sunbathing or coolers? Lisa is up in arms over the opening of golf courses in Saskatoon. She thinks hair salons first, everything else after! We discuss a supermarket offering optional temperature taking, the One World concert, Megxit, yeast shortage, croissant crusts, cauliflower tater tots, COVID cover songs, the peanut butter test, American Idol, brownies, figs and dreaded car shopping! It is all about Netflix, hair woes and being a basic bitch! Yup, it's the 4th week of self isolation and this shit is getting real! Easter dinner went well as Lisa cooked with a twist and Sam got take out from the restaurant of Mom and Pop. Peeps are being misappropriated and Lisa is having none of that! Sam has decided she is not meant to learn a new skill and she is okay with it! Lisa is concerned about toilet paper usage and wonders what will you use when you run out...kleenex? Sam tells the tale of a grocer gone bad and of course Lisa sides with them! Lisa is obsessed with buying hair dye and that puts her right on trend! Sam asks what do you think will trend in week 6, one FB listener suggested pregnancy tests! How you quarantining friends of the podcast? We are seeing (via the internet) more of each other in isolation than pre-isolation! Crazy! Sam finally watched the @home version of Wendy it was disappointing but Kelly and Ryan are pulling it off. Lisa admitted to having a cold heart when it came to the final episode of Schitt's Creek too bad it was truly a 'happy ending'. Lisa went on about Wrestlemania and Sam understood zero of what she was saying. Lisa enjoyed the Monday FB post of Ian Garten with a gigantic drink which somehow led to a conversation about cheese strings as a craft. Huh!? She is feeling the need to make bread aka pizza crust but I reminder her no one would it eat it because she is a face toucher from way back! This somehow launches us into a conversation about how she reuses her kleenex too many times and that Mike is constantly reminding her its 'one and done' Lisa. We move on to more important things like Bill Gates, pandemic decision making, Bernie Sanders, Rachel Ray, Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel, naps, moldy cheese, Celebrity IOU, pigeons, Khloe K., Whitney, Jane Fonda on tik tok, condoms, live streaming religion and yes the Tooth Fairy and Easter bunny are essential! Are there pros and cons to isolation? Lisa has only pros while I see it a bit differently...of course! It's a bit of ridiculous but it might just make you laugh! One would think that Lisa and I would be better at this recording thing but unfortunately for John...nope! He can't even and because I changed up the look of our notes Lisa was led astray. The screw up is just one of a few that happen this episode; forgive us? Lisa is concerned no one is taking this virus seriously and Sam wonders if the public think its only affecting famous people. Some great things have come out of this situation, Dyson is making ventilators and so is someone with a 3D printer! Sam brings up Harry and Meghan and Lisa is not interested but does think Rosie had a right to money shame the Fosters. Lisa has brought Dolly Parton into the squad and Sam is down with that! The chatter gets going with talk of scrabble go, postponing Easter, tye dye, talk shows, soaps, the Good Doctor finale, puzzles, Wrestle Mania, Spring/Summer foods, April Fools, fast food cravings, Joe Exotic, sports bras, and Ice cream. If the world ends Lisa would have items left in her cupboard but not me! It's a longer than normal podcast but we hope it makes you laugh!
