It All Goes Back?

They're baaaacckkk!! Yes, Lisa and Sam survived their lake vacay! However, it almost derailed due to buns! How do buns ruin a vacation you ask! Well, if you're Lisa you reject the grocery store based on the due date of said buns and immediately put everything back and fake an emergency phone call to make it seem like we are needed elsewhere! She is very serious about the state of her buns! The alcohol wanted for the week almost turned out to be a bust until they discovered the kingsize Motts Clamato Caesar! Drinks prepared by others are the best! A can got cracked as they made their way to the lake! Welcome back to your teenage years ladies!! Things are coming together sorta until they witness a woman picking up roadkill, Sam breaks the Gibson coffee maker(and maybe the BBQ?), buns are due, Boston Pizza splurge, Lisa is the game champion, crocs, no hat no Hampton’s, Lisa's cooking show, FB tuesday x2, squad updates(we got a live one!), 1 pair of underwear, McDonald's had the just in training team working, Popeyes chicken nuggets, Family Game Night, smelly kids, Lisa's question corner,  Olympic rock climbing, men's armpit hair maintenance, the Andrews, Kathy Griffin and what did we do before bottled water! The I shake my heads are all about personal preferences and cheapskate tendencies! It's just a bit of ridiculous chatter but it might just make you laugh!

The ladies are on vacay but don't panic, they asked John the editor to put together some of their funny moments, past and present! Yes, That Laurie Gelman!

OMG!! Lisa and Sam interviewed Laurie Gelman! Yes, that Laurie Gelman! She came to chat about her newest release, Yoga Pant Nation! The ladies got her to play their favorite game, This or That and she gave them an exclusive!! What!! Sam is excited about her redone eyebrows and Lisa is considering botox but with her addictive personality she can not be left unsupervised! She shares a funny story of bras, young nurses and old lady boobs! Sam is impressed with Pink's generosity and Lisa is memorized by synchronized diving, that shit is real! She does however come up with a new Olympic sport, single synchronized diving with a signature twist of a dipsy doodle! Huh? Lisa does her best to explain her position on pickled cucumbers and cauliflower but for Sam it just seems oddly confusing! Sam however, is now on the Bennifer train and she only wants the best for her gal JLO! The interview with Laurie leaves the ladies laughing and leaves with them a new phrase 'a Saskatoon 8'! The discussion continues with talk about their upcoming vacation, food bacteria, novelty socks, Amanda Kloots, a bakery menu update, maple syrup and the Blue Jays! She Reads To Me

It's a momentous occasion, Lisa has found a book to read/listen to! Laurie Gelman is personally reading(via an audiobook) to Lisa her book Yoga Pant Nation. Even better, she got Laurie to agree to come on our podcast! What!! So crazy!! Sam is sad over Wendy being on summer hiatus and Lisa can't get behind cauliflower being called a steak. There was nothing steak like about it! Lisa is 100% confident she can ride a bull after watching the Calgary stampede bull riding competition all weekend. Sam slams Lisa back to reality and squashes her dreams of one day riding a bull.There will be no heel, toe and arm up for her! Sam wonders why Bezos' rocket needed to look exactly like a penis. Come on! Lisa was told to walk faster to help her heart but she is a wee bit clumsy sometimes. Where’s My Weenus?

Is your weenus hot? Well, first it's not what you think (not a penis) and when asked Lisa had to google because she didn't believe the HHG!  John was helping the ladies record and driving him crazy like always! Lisa reassured John that they will still be recording in Betty for special occasions or whatever! In her ongoing delusion Lisa thinks eating Indian food once makes her an expert but the bigger concern is her muffin top. She is obsessed with it and thinks sit ups will help! Sam was not supportive and the phrase 'hell would freeze over first' was said out loud! The ladies debated the scone vs muffin are cousins topic but realized that they are not related at all! Sam wants to know if you listen to the voices in your head, are they reliable? Lisa thinks, maybe not but what about your gut instinct? So many questions! They continue with discussions about Lisa's new fruit cup diet, Christmas in July, Valerie Bertanelli, types of nachos, FB tuesday, national fry day, ditching the bra, obsessing about the lottery, tankini, resigned or re-signed, KD ice cream, Garth Brooks, Lisa's question corner, the billionaire space race, tagging along, let's talk chocolate bars and things Lisa oughta know! I Maced My Face!

Have you ever wondered what happens when you don't read the fine print, you mace your face! Lisa sprayed that spf with great gusto on her face and thus began the story of the broken eyes! They burned, they puffed up, they were sensitive to the sun and only after googling did she find out it shouldn't go on your face! The trip to the cabin started off well with Sam arriving early to pick up Lisa, who had them ahead of schedule and basking in the sun by noon! They battled horse flies, wondered about the political correctness of a fly swatter, thought about pool noodle synchronized swimming as an Olympic sport and Sam marveled at Lisa's ability to slam back a pound of bacon! The ladies visited the local dive bar in Dorintosh which had them wondering why we don't taxidermy people! The conversation gets rolling with discussions about the Heinz petition, slime, character boards, strong vino, FB Tuesday, Wendy hanging with Kelly, HHG and auto correct, somersaults, taco flavored pickles, TLC cancels Counting On, is rice neglected, Lisa's question corner, St. Elmo's Fire, Pete Davidson, antiques roadshow, Archie comics, seafood dislikes and things Lisa oughta know! The I shake my heads were personal and directed towards each other! It's a bit of ridiculous chatter but it might just make you laugh!

It’s Like A Souffle

What does a waist slimmer have to do with a souffle? Well it's what your muffin top looks like when it does not stay tucked in! Right Lisa!? Sam confirms John held out and only just now ate his kryptonite, tapioca pudding. Sam's are swedish berries and for Lisa it's anything that will break her tongue! Yes, she got crazy with some dill pickles and cucumbers and vinegar. Dear garlic dill pickles, why did you break her cheek! Lisa discovered a new passion but when you can't tell a weed from a flower there are bound to be issues! Who knew weeding only once makes you an arborist! Pull from the root Lisa! The ladies were out and about last Friday and made friends with a young lady who wanted to hang with the Moms! LOL!! Sam agrees Walmart clothes are fine as she confesses to her recent purchase! The ladies get on a roll with chit chat about Tim's non summer donuts, weather apps, the tomato, cucumber and egg salad sandwich debate, weekend warrior, FB Tuesday, new boy/guy group, weeding with the Queen, 730am on a Sunday, fast food salads, weird phrases, paper clip or staple, Lisa's question corner, penis spaceships, crocs for dogs, FB brings back the McRib, kabobs are luxury meat, Herb Tarlek, creepy Michael Bolton and things Lisa needs to know! What happens when one of your favorite 80's singers turns sixty? Well if you're Lisa and Sam, you immediately compare lives and decide you're a slacker! They have consistently done nothing decade after decade. Now that's maintaining!! Sam is free and back in Betty and touring the city! Hello Summer Donuts!!

Lisa and Sam are beyond excited that Krispy Kreme has made summer donuts!! They are light and fresh glazed master pieces unlike the heavily filled Canadian version! The ladies are having a week, Sam is over the finger splint and Lisa discovers she can't write anymore but she can thumb type like a champ! Lisa had an 80's car party for one and Sam was wondering why Lisa was trying on clothes at Wal-Mart! They realize people will need to relearn how to people again and that the phrase "fuck you" is literally at the end of every sentence these days. Ross Matthews teaches Sam a new word but Lisa doesn't approve of the combo. Come on dunch is going to catch on!
